Vanguard Gifted & Talented
Alcott’s Vanguard Neighborhood program is designed for Gifted and Talented (GT) students who excel in general intellectual ability in combination with creative/productive thinking and/or leadership ability.  Our Vanguard Neighborhood K-5 programs provide a learning continuum that is differentiated in depth, complexity, and pacing.  If you are interested in applying to the program, contact Ms Pettit at (713) 732-3540.
 
YMCA for Alcott
We are currently looking into the YMCA after-school program for Alcott next school year.  We must have a minimum of 25 students enrolled in the YMCA after school program at all times.  We are to schedule the YMCA program beginning August, 2009.  Should that enrollment drop during the 2009-2010 school year, we would be in jeopardy of losing that program.
